The UN welcomes the ceasefire and urges both Cambodia and Thailand to build on it toward a lasting peace.

During our field visit, UN agencies and partners witnessed the difficult conditions faced by displaced communities. Families are enduring significant hardship and require urgent humanitarian support.

We appreciate the effort and the swift response of humanitarian partners, including concerned local authorities, UN agencies, development partners, civil society organizations, and volunteers who, since the onset of the conflict, have worked tirelessly to provide safe spaces, temporary shelter, and essential services to those affected.

Current efforts include the provision of water, sanitation, shelter, food including rice, healthcare, education, and protection services.

During our interaction, the community called for peace and a safe return to their homes. This is the priority we must all work together to support.

The UN remains committed to working with all partners to continue supporting the humanitarian response and helping communities restore their livelihoods.
