The United Nations in Cambodia joins the UN75 Initiative in order to make voices of ordinary Cambodians.
To mark the 75th anniversary of the United Nations in 2020, the UN is convening a series of dialogues on how to build a truly global partnership to realise our shared aspirations for a just, peaceful and sustainable future. The driving factor for the UN75 initiative is the urgency, expressed by UN Member States, on what is needed to address emerging risks and opportunities, including responding and recovering from COVID-19 pandemic. UN75 is aimed to collect views and facilitate discussions on the future people want and how it can be collectively achieved. Open and inclusive dialogues are particularly relevant in times of COVID-19, as all nations are looking ahead into the post-pandemic future and are trying to shape the “new normal”.
The United Nations in Cambodia joins the UN75 Initiative in order to make voices of ordinary Cambodians, particularly young people, heard at both the national and global levels. The UN75 Initiative in Cambodia intends to engage people from different backgrounds and affiliations (e.g.in terms of ethnicity, gender, age group, religion and so on) to present their hopes and fears, to assess current and future risks and opportunities, and to offer solutions for global cooperation. https://un75.online/
