This summit, organized under the Umbrella of the Global School Meals Coalition, marks a significant milestone in the region's commitment to advancing human capital development and transforming food systems.
Phnom Penh, November 6, 2024- The Royal Government of Cambodia, through the Council for Agricultural and Rural Development (CARD), hosted the 11th National Nutrition Day (NND) under the theme "Nutrition for Growth". Phnom Penh, 04 November 2024 – The Fisheries Administration (FiA), the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO), and the Institut Pasteur du Cambodge (IPC) are excited to announce the successful expansion of the accreditation scope for the Laboratory of Environment and Food Safety (LEFS) of IPC. This achievement is made possible through ongoing technical support from the CAPFISH-Capture: Post-harvest Fisheries Development project. These accredited laboratory services are crucial in ensuring food safety within the fisheries sector and throughout Cambodia's broader food industry.
Phnom Penh, 4 November 2024 - A group of 17 delegates representing Member States on the Executive Boards of UNDP/UNFPA/UNOPS, UNICEF, UN-Women and WFP concluded a five-day joint field visit to Cambodia on Friday. The visit aimed to deepen the Executive Boards’ understanding of the United Nations’ work - and, more specifically, the work of the six entities - in the country and how the United Nations is supporting the Royal Government of Cambodia in achieving its national development priorities.
