Phnom Penh, 13 October 2025 – The Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries (MAFF), with the European Union (EU) and the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO), today announced the successful completion of EU CAPFISH-Capture: Post-harvest Fisheries Development. Under the theme ‘Transforming Cambodia Fisheries for Inclusive and Sustainable Growth,’ the project has witnessed milestones in Cambodia’s journey toward modern, competitive, and community-driven fisheries development with potential replication across other value chains.
Phnom Penh, 03 October 2025 – Cambodia is taking a major step toward strengthening its innovation ecosystem with the finalization of a National Model of University Intellectual Property (IP) Policy. Phnom Penh, 9 September 2025 - The National Bank of Cambodia (NBC), in collaboration with the United Nations in Cambodia, co-organized the third NBC–UN High-Level Multi-Stakeholder Convening on Microfinance. The event was honored by the presence of His Excellency the Deputy Prime Minister of the Ministry of Land Management, Urban Planning and Construction, whose participation underscored the government’s commitment to inclusive financial development. The convening brought together a diverse group of stakeholders, including representatives from various government agencies; regulatory bodies; industry associations; banking and financial institutions; investors; civil society organizations; non-governmental organizations; development partners; UN agencies; and international financial institutions. Participants valued the depth and openness of the discussions and reaffirmed the importance of sustained collaboration moving forward.
On September 10, 2025, the National Bank of Cambodia and the United Nations in Cambodia—in collaboration with CERISE+SPTF, the Association of Banks in Cambodia (ABC), and the Cambodia Microfinance Association—co-hosted the Cambodia Responsible Investor Convening. The event brought together over 60 investors in banking and financial sector to engage in a strategic dialogue on advancing responsible finance practices for Cambodia.
